THE SAME PAIN

Soweto Theatre, in collaboration with the director and playwright, Carla Fonseca, brings you an invigorating one woman show called, The Same Pain.

The Same Pain is the latest work of Carla Fonseca, one of the fiercest voices in South African theatre. This play is a follow up to Fonseca’s acclaimed 2017 production, Modjadji.

Passionate and fearless actress, Asia McDonald portrays a series of characters who must discover their own means of survival in this chilling and humanizing story of transformation and renewal in a hostile world of horrors not of their own making.
